How long does a new roof take on a typical semi detached house?

Most three bedroom semis in Epping and Loughton take four to six working days once the scaffold is up, weather permitting. Larger detached properties and cut roofs usually run seven to ten days.

Do I need planning permission for a new roof?

Replacing like for like is normally permitted development, so no permission is needed. If you are changing the roof line, adding a dormer, or the property is listed or in a conservation area, permission may apply. We tell you at quote stage.
