What epdm rubber roofing involves

EPDM is a single sheet of rubber membrane cut to fit your roof in one piece. No seams across the field of the roof means no laps to lift, split or leak.

It is fitted cold, so there is no naked flame near your property, and it stays flexible through frost and summer heat. On garages, extensions, dormers and garden rooms it is very often the best value covering we install.

Is EPDM better than felt?

For most domestic flat roofs, yes. It is seamless, it stays flexible, and it lasts longer. Felt still has a place on complex roofs with many upstands and penetrations where a fully bonded system detail is easier to control.

Can EPDM be walked on?

Light foot traffic for maintenance is fine. If you want a usable terrace we specify a walkway layer or paving support system on top.

Does EPDM come in different colours?

Standard membrane is black. Coated finishes in grey and stone are available where the roof is overlooked.
