What loft boarding involves

01992 245604Can I board over my existing insulation?
Not directly. Compressing 270mm of insulation to 100mm loses most of its performance. A raised system costs a little more and keeps the benefit.
How much weight can a boarded loft take?
A correctly installed raised deck handles normal household storage comfortably. If you are planning something heavier we will check the joist spans first.
